DGA Composite Fly Pad

 

It’s a new improved design of a Disc Golf Tee Pad that is affordable, low maintenance and safe.

 

Those of you who’ve played Whittlesea DG course will have experienced the recycled rubber matting that is the Tee pads. These pads have been down for almost four years and have served us well. However they needed improving because:-

 

Being laid straight onto a level grassed area is OK for a short while but eventually undulations in the matting will occur and cause OH&S problems.

The matting is retained in place by 300mm pegs with large flat heads. This kept the mats in place but didn’t deter vandals and thieves.

 

The new design takes all of these points into consideration and we believe we now have a superior product to offer the  Disc Golf course designers and players alike.

 

The recycled rubber matting is still retained but is now strengthened with 3 mm X 50mm square ‘Weldmesh’® reinforcing.

To assist in a level and stable surface the reinforced matting is adhered to a base of heavy duty plywood, which itself is fixed in place to the ground surface area by special retaining fixtures called “Ground Anchors”.

This 45mm thick (1200mm wide X 1750mm long ’Composite Tee Pad’®  is as aesthetically functional as it is dynamically satisfying to the disc golf player.

 

No more greasey, muddy grass tees.

No more grotty bitumen (black top) tee strips.

No more large expensive concrete slabs
